Declaration Ukraine
11 March 2022

The violent invasion by the Russian army and the sad images of streams of refugees stretching out for kilometres have deeply shocked and moved us. The personal suffering and uncertainty among Ukrainian civilians are unimaginable.

This gross violation of international law seriously threatens peace and democracy in Europe. The Ukraine is defending its democracy bravely and determinedly but without external support it is a war it cannot win.

We shall not represent the interests of those who (indirectly) facilitate the war against the Ukraine. We respect the economic sanctions which have been adopted in the European context against Russia. We shall refrain from carrying out work which potentially aims to secure the interests of the Russian president, the Russian state, the Russian elite or Russian (state owned) businesses to the extent that such businesses do not openly declare their opposition to the invasion of the Ukraine.

Our thoughts are with the victims of this war.
