Van Doorne appoints three new partners effective January 1, 2025

Anneloes van Uhm has been a lawyer at Van Doorne since 2011 and advises clients on complex financing transactions. She has extensive experience in corporate financing, including acquisition financing, working capital, and real estate. Additionally, she has a strong focus on the semi-public sector, where she assists borrowers in securing significant financing for investments.
Nick Suurmond has been part of Van Doorne’s leading Healthcare & Life Sciences team for over 10 years, advising a wide range of clients in the sector. Nick combines his comprehensive legal expertise with in-depth sector knowledge and primarily advises clients on collaborations, transactions, and governance matters. In his new role as partner, he looks forward to further solidifying the team’s top position.
Maarten Appels has been appointed partner in Van Doorne’s Corporate/M&A team. A notary (appointed) with a specific focus on M&A transactions, private equity, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and (cross-border) restructurings, Maarten also provides advice on corporate governance and ESG-related issues.
