Van Doorne Cobra Entrepreneur: Miró and CoBrA: The Joy of Experiment
27 August 2015
Following the success of the Guggenheim Blockbuster in 2014, Van Doorne will this year once again be the proud Cobra Entrepreneur for a new exhibition: Miró and CoBrA: The Joy of Experiment. From 10 October 2015 to 31 January 2016 the Cobra Museum for Modern Art in Amstelveen will be exhibiting the work of the Spanish painter and sculptor Joan Miró (1893-1983).
The exhibition creates a link between Miró and Cobra, a movement of an international group of post-war artists that started out in 1946. The museum will be displaying sixty works of Cobra artists such as Constant and Karel Appel.
