Van Doorne excels in Chambers Europe 2025 Rankings

Amsterdam, March 20, 2025 – Van Doorne has delivered an outstanding performance in the Chambers Europe Rankings 2025. The firm rises in various rankings and expands into new strategic areas. We are incredibly proud that our hard work in recent years is being recognized by our clients and peers.

Team Rankings

Van Doorne’s White-Collar Crime and Corporate Investigations team has made a well-deserved leap to the highest Band 1, featuring Jan Leliveld, Neyah van der Aa and Vanessa Liem, who advances to Band 2 in Corporate Investigations. Also our teams Healthcare, Insurance, Data Protection, and IT & IT Outsourcing continue to hold strong positions with Band 1 rankings. These accolades demonstrate our decisiveness in resolving complex legal disputes and our dedication to our clients.

Van Doorne’s Arbitration team, led by Rogier Schellaars and Bas van Zelst, is newly ranked in Band 2. We are delighted to be recognized for our specialized focus on commercial and investment arbitration, operating from our offices in Amsterdam and London. Other newly ranked teams include Public Law, led by Gijs Verberne and Jan van der Grinten, and the Investment Funds team, led by Harm-Paul Plas and Daan Horsthuis, who advances to Band 2. This acknowledgment shows that the most relevant players in the market recognize our efforts.

Individual Rankings

Our lawyers have also been widely recognized in the individual rankings. Newly Up-and-Coming rankings have been awarded to Cara Pronk and Steven Sterk in the Employment category, and to Özer Zivali in the Data Protection category. Angelique Thiele’s new ranking in the Spotlight Real Estate Finance category is particularly noteworthy. These individual rankings highlight the great recognition for the knowledge and experience of our colleagues.

Additional newly ranked colleagues include Diederik Maessen in the Energy & Natural Resources: Transactional category, Gijs Verberne in Public Law, Dimitri van Hoewijk in Healthcare, and Stefan van Rossum in Restructuring/Insolvency. We are proud of this group of newly ranked lawyers. The rankings reward our sharp analysis, outstanding skills, and client-centered approach.

We also like to mention the ascended rankings of Sijbren Kuiper in Employment: Pension and Hugo Reumkens in Corporate/ M&A: Mid-Market.
