Van Doorne number 2 of the Netherlands in FT Top 50 Innovative Lawyers 2014
Van Doorne has joined the FT Innovative most Law firms Top 50, one of the leading legal rankings in Europe. The law firm has been ranked 30th in the FT Top 50 Law Firm Innovators, one of the leading legal rankings in Europe. Of the Dutch firms that participated Van Doorne terminated in the second place. On October 8, the presentation of the report was held in London in the Natural History Museum. Although a newcomer, Van Doorne was shortlisted as one of the top 10 ‘Most innovative law firms in Europe’, one of the most prestigious categories and Van Doorne is number 8.
Managing Director, Martijn Lesterhuis, represented Van Doorne on the evening together with the Van Doorne innovation team. Martijn Lesterhuis: “Innovation has been a key topic for our business in recent years. Being recognised as one of the most innovative law firms in Europe is a direct result of our efforts. Our compliments go to the FT Innovation Awards team for the professional organisation of the Awards and the wonderful ceremony hosted in the Natural History Museum London.”
In the category ‘Most Innovative Law Firms in Corporate Strategy’ Van Doorne is ‘commended’ for created the Beating Experience programme to help associates understand the complexities of the Dutch healthcare system.
In addition we were appointed ‘commended’ in the category ‘Most Innovative Law Firms in Social Responsibility’ for facilitating social entrepreneurship in the Netherlands through a research centre at Utrecht University and advice to clients on social impact bonds. “We’ve really been able to contribute to the preparation of these bonds with our knowledge,” says Sjoerd Kamerbeek, lawyer at Van Doorne.
