Ralph specialises in financial liability law. He acts for banks, insurers, accountancy firms and other financial service providers. His focus is on complex disputes involving a duty of care, financial supervision law, general contract and liability law. Before joining Van Doorne as a partner in late 2023, Ralph had been a partner in NautaDutilh’s Financial Litigation department.
Ralph has represented several Dutch (major) banks in complex legal disputes. Cases on internal fraud, prospectus liability, financing discussions, ESG-related litigation, international consumer law, the Wwft (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act), and numerous other topics are among Ralph’s expertise. A common thread in Ralph’s practice, however, is the special duty of care that can fall on a financial institution. This duty of care is constantly evolving and is followed, meticulously appreciated and assessed by Ralph, allowing him to assist and advise his clients effectively. Clients commend Ralph for his effective handling of cases and his high success rate.
