    Andrea Goossens

    Counsel

    Andrea is an experienced lawyer in the areas of Litigation and Insurance Law. She is involved in liability issues within the general litigation practice. Andrea also advises various parties in the insurance industry on regulatory and supervisory issues. 

    Driven. Enthusiastic. Solution-oriented.

    Andrea studied Dutch Law and Notarial Law at the Radboud University Nijmegen and she completed the Law Firm School. Moreover, Andrea studied for six months at the Manchester Metropolitan University in Manchester (UK).

    Andrea had worked for five years at Allen & Overy at the litigation and banking department before she started working at Van Doorne.

    Brexit deal between 27 EU Member States and the United Kingdom so far gives insurers little to go by Are you ready for Brexit?

    European regulations applied in the United Kingdom until 31 December 2020. Insurers could make use of their European Passports until that time. Since 1 January 2021, the European Passports are no longer valid for European insurers that offer their services in the United Kingdom. British insurers lost their European Passports on 1 January 2021.
