Arno is a financial services and markets lawyer at Van Doorne. He has a special focus on Payments and FinTech (payments, cards, consumer credit, e-money, lending etc). He advises Dutch and foreign FinTech companies and investors on various regulatory and commercial matters.

Arno assists companies that are confronted with (potential) enforcement measures of the Dutch financial supervisors DNB and AFM. Arno is active in financial litigation and provides advice on compliance and supervision to Dutch and foreign companies that operate or want to operate on the financial markets, in insurance, and in the pension industry. For these clients he drafts (cooperation) agreements and product conditions, and oversees licence applications. Arno furthermore counsels companies facing (imminent) enforcement measures by financial regulators DNB and AFM, and litigates liability cases, such as the special duty of care of financial service providers.
Arno joined Van Doorne in 2002, and was appointed partner on 1 September 2015. He is the co-lead of the Van Doorne FinTech and payments team. Arno is also the contactperson for Holland FinTech, of which Van Doorne is one of the four founding members. He has also acted as jury-member for the Dutch FinTech Awards and Accenture Innovation Awards for several years already.
Arno regularly publishes articles on FinTech in professional magazines in the Netherlands.
