Babette is part of the Van Doorne Privacy Team. She advises national and international organisations on a broad range of legal matters relating to privacy and data protection law, among which application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Before joining the Privacy Team, Babette worked in the European & Competition Law department. While working there, Babette gained experience in assisting multinationals being confronted with enforcement procedures by regulatory authorities and advised various organisations on compliance policy.
Babette studied law at Utrecht University and obtained her master’s degree in European Law. She was also enrolled in Washington College of Law in Washington DC for the International Legal Studies Program. During her studies, Babette specialised in privacy law and gained work experience in advising small and medium-sized companies on matters such as privacy and cookie statements, data processing agreements and data breaches.
