Lisette leads Van Doorne’s Commercial team. She advises, drafts contracts and litigates on behalf of national and international companies and organisations on all kinds of commercial contracts like (cross-border) agency, franchise and distribution contracts, (cross-border) purchase/sale agreements (including general terms and conditions, sourcing and framework agreements), licensing contracts, non-disclosure agreements, know-how protection, business services contracts and cooperation agreements.
Lisette also advises and litigates on e-commerce and IT law including outsourcing, the sale and supply of software and services and failed IT projects.
Lisette has specialised in contract and liability law (including health and food safety law), consumer law, civil procedure, arbitration, private international law and IT law.
Lisette has specific expertise in commercial litigation both before the national courts as well as in (international) arbitration proceedings.
She has been lecturing at the Dutch Association for Procurement and Supply Management (NEVI) for over a decade and contributes to Kluwer’s monthly Contract Law Journal. Lisette is a member of the International Distribution Institute (IDI) and the Dutch Association for Distribution, Franchise and Agency Law (DFA). She is an arbitrator (IDIArb) under the arbitration rules of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce.
