Maarten specialises in real estate. He has extensive experience in real estate transactions, transfer of real estate companies, project development, security rights and the real estate aspects of equity transactions and financing.
Maarten advises institutional parties and private equity investors, developers, public authorities and financial institutions on a wide range of real estate matters. He is known as an innovative thinker with great commercial acumen.
Before joining Van Doorne, Maarten spent 15 years working in real estate and mergers & acquisitions at two other leading law firms. He worked in Amsterdam and in London. Maarten also gained in-house legal experience at a financial institution. As a result, he is better able to look at legal issues from different angles.
