Sophie obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in Notarial Law at Leiden University. Furthermore, she studied at Peking University in Beijing (China) for 6 months.

Before Sophie was employed at Van Doorne, she was employed as candidate civil law notary at a firm specialized in corporate law and real estate. Her focus within this firm was on corporate law as well.
